Green Economy for Globalization..

What is the Green Economy?
The global financial crisis that began in 2007 and continues today, is considered by many economists as the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of 1929.
One of the main lessons we can draw from this experience is that the usual way of managing the economy is no longer convenient. The new green economy is thus a suitable alternative and a sustainable way of doing business.
A Green Economy is described as an economy that results in better quality of life and social equity, and reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcity. In other words, we can think of a green economy as a tool for low-carbon, resource efficiency and social inclusion.

The Tragedy of the Commons

The dilemma we face between the current economy "brown" and the proposed "green" economy can be illustrated by an article written by Garrett Hardin called the Tragedy of the Commons in 1968. He describes a common pasture where several farmers let their cattle graze.
In order to increase individual wealth, is in the interest of each producer to expand his herd and continue to graze on the same stretch of land. But when the limit of a number of cattle is exceeded, the quality of the earth begins to decrease.
Since no one is particularly responsible for land and no tax is charged for grazing, each farmer continues to maximise profits with the increase of his flock. The problem, however, remains the fact that the quality of the earth continue to deteriorate cm increasing pressure from the growing herds and grass becomes insufficient to feed the cattle.
In other words, farmers can increase their flock even benefit at first, but then lose their livelihoods, and everyone loses in this scenario. Environmental economists have identified as the main problem of this dilemma the fact that the natural resource (grass) be consumed without spending since no one owns the land "common."  However, if a tax is levied per head of cattle and land values increase with the increase of the flock, would be very expensive exceed the limit of grazing.  Thus, farmers would realise losses and be forced to reduce the number of the herd, thus it autorregulando to sustainable levels for the benefit of all.
The Tragedy of the Commons is a simple example of an economic system more complex. In our example, many questions are left unanswered, such as who benefits from the money, they use the money and as we all continue to benefit from this process. The Green Economy Initiative , led by UNEP, was released in late 2008 and provides a mechanism for comprehensive and practical work, through analysis and political support for investment in green sectors and the greening of industries that are not environmentally sound.
